SCImago Journal & Country Rank is a publicly available portal that includes journals and scientific indicators from different developed countries based on the information contained in the Scopus® database (Elsevier B.V.). These indicators can be used to assess and analyze scientific domains. Both journals and country rankings can be compared or analyzed separately. Journals can be grouped by subject area (27 main subject areas), subject category (309 specific subject categories), or by country. Citation data is drawn from more than 34,100 titles published by more than 5,000 international publishers as well as performance metrics from 239 countries around the world. The SJCR also allows you to include significant metrics from each journal on your own website through a linkable widget. The name of this platform comes from the indicator SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) (PDF). Developed by SCImago, it is based on the well-known Google PageRank™ algorithm. This indicator shows the visibility of the journals contained in the Scopus® database since 1996.
